Prague Will Live One Week by Wine

The second year of the festival Prague Wine Week 2010, which will take place in Prague from Monday, 18th January, till Sunday, 24th January 2010, will celebrate the art of winemakers. For the whole week, almost seventy restaurants, wine bars, wine shops, hotels and other places in the entire Prague are going to offer different wine tastings, special wine offer, menu combined with wine, bargain accommodation etc. Winemakers and wine importers will organize tastings of their wines in Prague restaurants, bars and wine shops. Prague will thus live by wine all week.

Lovers of the noblest drink – wine – will have a very interesting choice. For example, Prague Wine Week will be an ideal opportunity to attend the first and only recipient of the Michelin star in the Czech Republic and in all of Central and Eastern Europe - Allegro restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Prague. This restaurant will prepare special Prague Wine Week lunch menu with a glass of wine, coffee and mineral water for CZK 750. Ad Vivum Riedel shop in the lobby of Slovanský dům will introduce the only decanter in the world, which is sold with a video manual - Decanter Eve, and will offer experience of really blind wine tasting from black Riedel glasses. Wine shop V&R Imports at Sokolovská street will organize daily free tasting of three interesting wines from it‘s portfolio, etc…

Prague Wine Week festival had been intentionally scheduled for January, when the number of guests in restaurants and bars every year drops. The organizers believe that the one, who fell for wine during the festival, will return to the wine shop or wine bar, even when the festival is over, and the owners of enterprises will realize, that, for instance, larger offer of wine served by glass can attract more guests for them.

Organizer of the Prague Wine Week festival is Vino Revue magazine, leading wine magazine in Czech Republic, published since 2002.
